Case Study

Frances King Case Study

Case Study Summary

How an international brand that had evolved over many years, was given a new lease of life and embedded into the very fabric of the organisation.

The Brief

To update brand identity and supply clear guidelines on usage and application. To look at colours, tone, images, fonts and how that applies across a wide range of applications, from stationery and products to interior colour scheme and design.

The Challenge

Frances King School of English has a well established brand across the globe, with strong recognition amongst students and agents. However, as with so many transnational brands, the identity had become diluted across so many different media channels and was not communicating the vibrancy, modernity yet strong heritage that is associated with the School.

How Preview Helped

After interrogating existing collateral, understanding the core values and how the current brand was perceived, we presented a number of options and styles, settling on a solution that reflected the Frances King heritage and modernising it to work well in today's contemporary culture.

We continued to apply the identity principals and brand to an extensive range writing each part up into a guidelines manual. We also worked closely with teachers and school staff to help design an interior styling that would be suitable for the differing buildings, size of classrooms and existing fixtures and fittings.

A clean, clear identity that applied will become a very recognisable symbol that reflects the integrity of the school. The outputs included logo design, stationery design, interior colour schemes, application to all marketing collateral and products and a brand guideline manual.
